Selection Guide

How to choose led poster LED displays

LED posters turn fine-pitch LED into a deployable retail product. Unlike a custom video wall, the display arrives as a complete unit with controller, power, enclosure and content connectivity already integrated. Stores, hotels, banks, showrooms and event entrances can position it, connect power and publish content without building a separate wall structure.

The buying decision is mainly about deployment scale and viewing context. A single poster may run from local media; a chain needs cloud scheduling, user permissions and reliable remote status. Window-facing installations need enough brightness for daylight, while double-sided units must manage heat and content on both faces without becoming too deep for the storefront.

Choose stand-alone or managed deployment

For one venue, USB, HDMI and simple wireless publishing may be enough. Multi-store rollouts should specify cloud grouping, timed playlists, remote updates and what happens when a location temporarily loses internet access.

Check service access and stability

Confirm how modules, controller and power supplies are reached, whether the base is stable in public areas and how the unit is secured against accidental movement. Easy front service reduces downtime in finished retail spaces.

Plan content before delivery

The physical resolution and portrait aspect ratio determine artwork dimensions. Prepare templates, brand-safe zones and a publishing workflow early so the screen launches with content designed for close, vertical viewing.

Prepare the rollout, not just the hardware

For multiple locations, create one approved content template, naming convention and device-group structure before shipping. Confirm how each player is registered, who can publish, whether updates can be scheduled by time zone and how staff recover a unit after a network or power interruption. The delivery package should include stand or wall hardware, local power leads, spare modules, login ownership and a short operating guide for store teams. A pilot installation at one site is the safest way to confirm brightness, stability, content workflow and remote support before the full chain rollout.

Frequently asked questions

Does an LED poster need a separate video processor?

Most integrated posters include the controller required for scheduled content and common inputs. Confirm the exact input and cloud features if live video or central fleet management is required.

Can several posters form one larger image?

Compatible units can often be synchronised or placed side by side, but bezel spacing, controller mode and content resolution must be planned before purchase. Ask for the intended multi-unit layout.

Is a poster suitable directly behind a shop window?

Yes when brightness and heat are specified for window use. Direct sun through glass can increase reflection and temperature, so a standard indoor model should not be assumed suitable without checking the orientation.
