Project challenge
A backdrop wall that photographs badly is worthless to a studio. Standard refresh rates band and flicker on camera, and a flat wall behind a performer reads as a screen rather than as a location.
MCVISUAL solution
A curved P1.86 wall was built on GOB modules running at 7680 Hz, so the sensor sees a clean frame at normal shutter speeds, and the arc wraps far enough around the shooting area to fill the frame at wide angles.
Installed result
The studio shoots music video and commercial work against the wall directly, changing location by changing content, and the footage comes off camera without scan lines or moiré across the background.
